Russia attacked Ukraine, and the West does not provide adequate military support to repel Moscow's aggression.
Ukraine will have to get nuclear weapons, if it’s not offered NATO membership, said the Ukrainian president. That’s an obvious solution to the issue of Russia’s insatiable expansionism and “Ukraine isn’t a real country” rhetorics.
So much so that they are totally losing it, after Zelenskyy’s speech in Brussels on October 17, 2024.

Who is fighting today? Ukraine," Zelenskyy said in the European Council.
“Either Ukraine will have nuclear weapons, or we will be in NATO. We are choosing NATO now,” stated Zelenskyy, reminding about Ukraine’s giving its world’s 3rd largest nuclear arsenal in 1994, in exchange to some “security guarantees” on paper — which Russia and everyone reneged upon.
But it surely shocked Vladimir Putin and his ruling clique.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy's statement that Ukraine will consider nuclear weapons if it does not get NATO membership won’t shock Donald Trump — apparently, the Ukrainian president already told him that during their behind-closed-doors meeting in September 2024.
Last month, Zelenskyy reported that Ukraine successfully tested its own ballistic missiles.
"Either Ukraine will have nuclear weapons, and then it will be a defense for us, or Ukraine will be in NATO. NATO countries are not at war today. All people are alive in NATO countries. And that is why we choose NATO over nuclear weapons,” emphasized Zelenskyy.
Now, we all can probably add 2 and 2.

By the way, on October 8, 2024, magnitude 3.3 earthquake was registered in the Dnipro region of Ukraine. Some commentators joked that Ukraine conducted an underground test of a nuclear weapon.
The Budapest treaty has been violated and Ukraine has every right to restore its nuclear status.
By the way, it was in Dnipro that the Soviet ballistic missiles were built. Ukraine has the resources and the knowledge to build its own NW — I wrote about it before.
Who gave up nuclear weapons? All? No. Only Ukraine.
For 2.5 years if the full-scale war, the Russian propaganda was incessantly promoting the idea that “a nuclear power cannot lose the war” — so, it’s now time for chickens to come home to roost.
